WiFi Calling is not another Messenger or WhatsApp application. This is a system solution built into your phone. You call normally, through the standard application of the phone, using your number. The difference is only that the conversation flies online, not through the mobile network.

You can call in places where the range of the cellular network practically does not exist: basements, garages or shopping centers. WiFi Calling also solves a problem with range in small towns or in rural areas.

How to turn it on?

The method depends on your phone. In most androids you will find this option in network settings or connections:

On the phone with Android:

• Look for “wi-fi calling” or “connection via Wi-Fi”

Remember that not every operator supports this function. Plus, Play, T-Mobile and Orange generally offer WiFi Calling, but it’s worth checking the details of your tariff. Some may impose restrictions.

How does it work in practice?

After turning on the function, the phone will decide when to use Wi-Fi for calls. If the range of the mobile network is weak, it will automatically switch to the internet. You can get to know this by a special icon in the upper part of the screen – it is usually a symbol of the Wi -Fi lush.

Quality of conversations? It depends mainly on your internet connection. At home, with a stable connection, you will not notice the difference. There may be problems in public places when a lot of people use the same network.
