Under the concept of premium scartphones, CR analysts are understood as devices whose wholesale value exceeds $ 600, or about 55 thousand rubles. The company’s specialists noticed that the share of premium phones increased from 15 percent in 2020 to 25 percent in 2024. In other words, every fourth smartphone sold in 2024 was a premium segment.

“The premium segment continues to grow, since consumers choose high-class functions, the best processors, cameras, displays and generative artificial intelligence (II) functions,” said CRN Carn Chauhan senior analyst. In addition, expensive smartphones are usually better, and manufacturers maintain their updates longer. In the long run, this allows users to save.

The leader in the premium devices market was expected to be an American Apple, most of which costs more than $ 600. She received a share of 66 percent. Below are Korean Samsung and Chinese Huawei – 18 and 7 percent, respectively.

Experts believe that the tendency towards the premium of the smartphone segment will continue in 2025, albeit a slightly slower pace.
