Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 – AI chip for inexpensive smartphones

The American company introduced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip – the first middle -class model with AI support. Qualcomm said that the processor will suppress external noise during conversations, use advanced voice assistants and much more. The model also supports Int4, which will support AI services on compact devices.
The performance of the central processor Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is 11 percent higher than that of the predecessor. An increase in the power of the graphic processor is 29 percent. The chip for inexpensive phones should also provide an increase in the data rate through Wi-Fi and 5G.
“All this means that Android users do not have to spend money on flagship devices to get the latest AI functions and decent speed,” the journalists of the publication noted. Qualcomm said that the first chip Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 will receive Oppo and Honor, which integrate it into their smartphones.
