In China, a huge mysterious building is being built in the shape of the letter X. The whole world wonders what it is

A great mysterious building is being built in China, and work on it accelerated. Experts warn that the facility can be used to research on advanced technology.

A huge center of nuclear fusion? A mysterious “X” shape is being built in China – the Reuters agency reported in January, which also presented satellite photos of Planet Labs. A large facility is being built near the city of Mianyang. Decker Evelet from the American research organization CNA Corp assessed that the Chinese were building the nuclear fusion center with the use of laser ignition. He paid attention to the four “arms” of the building, in which laser recesses and a central recess, in which hydrogen isotopes will be placed. He also estimated that the central recess in the emerging facility is OK. 50 percent greater than in the American National Ignition Facility (NIK).

“They work quickly”: Decker Evelet noticed in a conversation with CNN that in 2020 there was little at the construction site, but work on the construction acceleratedwhen all the restrictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic were removed. In turn, Melanie Windridge, general director at Fusion Energy Insights, said that China is very serious about the nuclear fusion, “they work quickly and strongly.”

“It’s dangerous”: According to some experts, the Chinese facility may combine elements of fusion and fission of testicles. – if it turns out that this is true, it will be especially disturbing – said Andrew Holland, general director of the Fusion Industry Association. In his opinion, such technology would probably be more powerful than the one that Western countries currently have. He added that the US still leads in a nuclear fusion, but “China is working quickly” and they can winif the United States and allies do not start investing in technology. In social media he added that “what the Chinese do is dangerous.”

Nuclear fusion and CTBT Treaty: Nuclear fusion is one of the ways of manufacturing large amounts of pure energybut technology can also help develop nuclear weapon. The treaty with a total ban on nuclear weapons (CTBT) signed in 1996 prohibits nuclear tests, but nuclear fusion was not included in it.
