Samsung recognized the Galaxy S21 smartphones outdated and left without updates

Samsung South Korean corporation recognized the popular Galaxy S21 series smartphones. The publication of Phonearena paid attention to this.

The company’s specialists updated the support page in which they indicated that the Galaxy S21 would be left without Android updates. Journalists recalled that the brand’s smartphones four years – the company introduced them in January 2021. At the start of sales, users of devices were promised four years of support.

Also from this moment, Galaxy S21 users will only receive safety updates, and patches will produce once a quarter. For comparison, actual Samsung gadgets receive updates every month. In addition, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra have not yet received Android 15, but this should happen in the coming weeks. This update will be the latter for gadgets.

At the same time, the Galaxy S21 Fe, which belongs to the Galaxy S21 line, was released later – in January 2022. Therefore, the owners of the subflagman can count on the update to the operating system (OS) Android 16, which should be released in mid -2025.

At the end of January, Google announced that Android would appear intellectual protection against theft. The function is already available on Google Pixel smartphones running Android 15, in the near future it will appear in the One UI 7 firmware on Samsung phones.
