Apple will pay users of their hours money as part of a dispute
Apple’s Corporation settled a long -term dispute with smart watches and will now give out tens of millions of dollars to users. It is reported by the publication CNET.
At the end of January, it became known that the lawyers of the American company agreed to resolve the dispute relative to the smart watches of Apple. In 2019, the owners of the models of Apple Watch 1, 2 and 3 filed a court to the corporation Tim Cook, claiming that the watch could harm health and severe injuries. So, they stated that the batteries of gadgets could eventually fail, swell and light up.
According to journalists, Apple representatives for almost 6 years assured the court and the plaintiffs that their devices were developed in such a way as to be reliable and safe. The company agreed with the plaintiffs and pay them $ 20 million. The amount of compensation will be from 50 to 60 dollars for a separate user.
Representatives of the corporation notified the media that they regulated the dispute, but said that “categorically disagree with the claims put forward against these models of Apple Watch.” To receive payment, users must contact Apple and provide evidence that they complained about problems with the swollen battery of their watch earlier.
Earlier, the head of Apple Tim Cook said that the smartphones of the iPhone 16 series were more successful in sale than the models of the past generation. The main reason for popularity, he called the functions of artificial intelligence (AI) in new devices.
