The AI virtual secretary will be added to the Android Smartphones
Google specialists began to test the function of the virtual secretary of ASK for Me (“Ask for me”) among users of Android semartphones. It is reported by Phonearena.
The function works on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI), over time it will be available to all users of the operating system (OS) from Google. Using the option, you can give the command to a virtual secretary to call a certain company of services, make an entry or clarify certain details.
Currently, the company is testing ASK for ME among a limited number of enthusiasts on calls at the maintenance station (STO) of cars and manicure salons. The function is available only to the English -language users of Google Cards and only in the USA.
Media journalists said that in order to make a call using AI, the user must open a “Google Card” and choose a specific organization – for example, a service station. Next, he will have to go through a short questionnaire: the purpose of the call, which car will be served, what spare parts or type of engine oil are needed, and so on. AI Secretary will remember all the recommendations, will call the person to the person, write the answers and present a brief report.
Phonearena journalist Joanna Romero admitted that she was looking forward to the appearance of this function. “Will the companies that I try to call just hang the phone when they understand that they are talking to the car?” – asked Romero.
Earlier it became known that an improved support for folding smartphones will appear in Android 17. Therefore, it will be important for the creators of the programs to optimize their products to all the known sizes of the device screens.
