Apple released an urgent update that corrects a dangerous vulnerability
Apple’s Corporation has released a series of updates for its gadgets that correct a dangerous vulnerability. The publication of The Register drew attention to this.
At the end of January, the company’s engineers produced for smartphones, tablets, computers and other branded security patches. Media journalists have found that patches are closing the problem of vulnerabilities CVE-2025-24085, associated with Coremedia-a component thanks to which Apple devices process audio and video.
Corrections came out for the iPhone and iPad – iOS 18.3 and iPados 18.3, respectively, became available for download. Also, updates appeared for the Vision Pro helmet, MAC computers, Apple Watch smart watches and Apple TV HD 4K prefixes. Apple urged all users to urgently update their gadgets.
Specialists The Register noted that Apple did not describe in detail a dangerous vulnerability. The company only noticed that with the help of a system gap, attackers can hack devices remotely.
At the end of January, a group of Apple users from the United States accused Tim Cook’s company on the sale of straps for Apple Watch, containing hazardous chemicals. According to the plaintiffs, an IT giant deliberately hides the presence of “eternal chemicals” in its devices.
