Therefore, it will be important for the creators of the applications to optimize their products for all the known sizes of the device screens.

“Thus, in 2026, applications created under Android 17 will not be able to be limited by work only in portrait orientation or have black stripes around,” the journalists explained. This is also due to the distribution of folding devices on the market.
