Xiaomi has unveiled a series of 12 flagship smartphones. It is reported on the company’s social networks on Weibo.
The line of top-end devices includes two devices – Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The base smartphone has a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 hertz and a Victus Corning Gorilla Glass. The announced phone is based on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The rear panel of the gadget houses a triple camera with 50, 13 and 5 megapixel lenses. The device received a battery with a capacity of 4500 milliampere-hours.
The older model 12 Pro is distinguished by the presence of a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, and the device also has a camera that supports video shooting in 8K resolution at 30 fps. The device received a battery with an expanded capacity of 4600 milli-hours with support for charging a capacity of 120 watts.
It is also clarified that both phones will receive the MIUI 12.5 shell based on Android 12. The update to MIUI 13 is scheduled for January.
Xiaomi 12 in the starter version with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory was estimated at 3699 yuan, or about 41 thousand rubles. The cost of Xiaomi 12 Pro with a similar set of memory will be 4699 yuan, or about 52 thousand rubles. The devices will go on sale in January.
The announcement of the previous flagship Xiaomi – Mi 11 – took place exactly a year ago. The device has a 6.81-inch OLED screen with 2K resolution, a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, a triple camera with a resolution of 108, 13 and 5 megapixels.
