Lifehacker: iOS 17.6 Update Fixes 30 iPhone Security Bugs
Apple has released a major update for the iPhone that fixes dozens of security bugs, Lifehacker has noted.
Media journalists noticed that the iOS 17.6 update was available to some users at the beginning of the week, but many did not pay attention to it due to the release of the new beta version of iOS 18. The update includes fixes for about 30 security-related errors.
“This update contains important bug fixes and security patches and is recommended for all users,” Apple clarified. Thus, the corporation urged all smartphone owners to update their devices.
The article also says that security patches have also been released for smartphones that do not support iOS 17. Thus, for older iPhones, Apple engineers have introduced iOS 16.7.9 and iOS 15.8.3 updates.
Finally, Lifehacker journalists reported that the update to the iPhone added a Catch Up feature that displays sports scores on the lock screen. However, it only works with the MLS Season Pass subscription available in North America.
Earlier, Reuters sources said that Apple’s artificial intelligence (AI) was trained on Google’s processors. Google’s hardware allowed Apple to create more advanced models than it had hoped for.
