Honor has revealed information about its first foldable smartphone. Reported by the publication Huawei Central.
The Chinese company has published a teaser of the gadget on its YouTube channel, showing the design of the future device called Honor Magic V. The video shows the device from the side, from which we can conclude that the gadget will receive a clamshell form factor. “This is Honor’s first foldable flagship,” the video says.
Despite the fact that the corporation showed the first video with the device, it does not disclose the characteristics and does not name the exact timing of the release of the device. According to sources of the publication, Honor Magic V will receive a flexible eight-inch screen, created by companies BOE and Visionox. The back of the phone will have an additional 6.5-inch display. Also, the flagship will have a top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
“The CEO of Honor claims the Magic V will be a premium foldable smartphone and hit the market in 2022,” the authors noted.
In early October, sources said that Honor could launch the first foldable smartphone before the end of the year. Insiders said that plans to introduce a foldable smartphone existed at a time when Honor was under the control of Huawei.
