The Korean corporation has held the first position for the tenth year. The second place in sales in units was taken by the Xiaomi brand, the third – by Apple. The top five also includes Realme and Honor.
The best-selling smartphone of the year was Xiaomi Redmi 9A with 32 gigabytes of storage. The top also named the iPhone 11 with 128 gigabytes of storage, the Samsung Galaxy A12 in versions with 32 and 64 gigabytes of memory and the Xiaomi Redmi 9, which comes with 64 gigabytes of internal memory. In terms of total sales, the most popular is the Samsung Galaxy A12 line.
In monetary terms, Apple devices are in the lead. The top includes the iPhone 11 in versions with 128 and 64 gigabytes of memory, the iPhone 12 with a 128 gigabyte drive, the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 256 gigabytes and the iPhone 12 Pro with 128 gigabytes of memory.
For 11 months, the smartphone market showed an increase of 27 percent, the volume amounted to 570 billion rubles. The highest dynamics was shown by devices more expensive than 50 thousand rubles – their sales by the end of the year may grow by 70 percent in pieces and by 75 percent in money. “Thus, in 2021, if these dynamics are maintained, the demand can reach about 720-730 billion rubles,” the company representatives said.
At the end of November, retailers spoke about the shortage of a number of popular Apple phone models in Russia. Representatives of M.Video-Eldorado noted the increased demand not only for new flagships, but also for devices of previous generations – for example, the iPhone 11.
