Android smartphones to become more expensive predicted

Android smartphones will become a third more expensive due to the new processor

Well-known insider Yogesh Brar predicted that new Android smartphones will be significantly more expensive than current models. The expert stated this in his X.

According to Brar, the rise in smartphone prices will be due to the release of a new processor from Qulacomm. The insider could not name the updated prices, but noted that the phones will be about a third more expensive.

This is due to the fact that the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which will be used in flagship smartphones, will cost $220-240. The specialist noted that the new generation chip is noticeably more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen, which was used in current devices. The third generation chip is priced at $200.

The new chip from Qulacomm will be developed and released in 2025. Its official presentation is scheduled for October.

According to journalists from GizmoChina, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be created using TSMC’s three-nanometer process technology. The ARM core in the chip will be replaced with its own Oryon core. Most likely, the processor will support artificial intelligence (AI).

In mid-June, SmartPrix journalists found out that Samsung would raise prices on its foldable flagships. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to cost $100 more than their predecessors.
