Apple Set to Sell 100 Million iPhones

CTEE: Apple ordered chips from partners to sell 100 million iPhone 16s

American corporation Apple has planned to sell a record number of new iPhones, the Chinese publication CTEE reports.

According to sources, the company has ordered 90-100 million new processors from Taiwanese partner TSMC. From this data it follows that Apple intends to sell up to 100 million new iPhone 16 series smartphones.

The corporation believes that they will be able to sell so many devices, as they believe in the popularity of the series. For comparison, in 2023, Apple ordered from 80 to 90 million units of chips from partners. In particular, the demand for devices should be increased due to the artificial intelligence (AI) functions of Apple Intelligence, which will support the new devices.

All new smartphones will run on A18 processors. Most likely, the base models will receive the standard version of the chip, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max – the advanced version of the A18 Pro. At the same time, all new-generation devices will come with at least 8 gigabytes of RAM. This is due to the technical requirements of the Apple Intelligence neural network.

Earlier, Bloomberg sources reported that Apple will provide some artificial intelligence (AI) features for money. The options will likely be part of a paid iCloud+ subscription.
