A Reddit user named dopeyout posted a photo of a smartphone that looks like an iPhone, but does not have a camera on the back. At the same time, all phones released by Apple, including the first generation device, were equipped with a camera.

According to dopeyout, this phone was issued to a friend of his who works at a nuclear power plant. The author of the post, which collected 90 thousand likes in less than a week, explained the appearance of such a device. He noted that devices with cameras are prohibited at the enterprise, so employees are given specially upgraded phones.

“They should have left the flash so you could use it as a flashlight,” joked commenter kanyetherealkanye. According to the author under the nickname nhatsen, he is not surprised that nuclear power plants have such rules. A Reddit user said that in the interests of safety, for the sake of quick evacuation, one of the organizations where he worked was forced to park the car with its back to the wall.

Reddit users have found a company called NonCam that is upgrading iPhones by removing the camera. For example, an iPhone 7 without a main camera costs from 1.2 thousand dollars.
