Life.ru: completely discharging a laptop battery can harm the device
When working at home, you should keep your laptop connected to the network. A tech expert from the power bank rental service “Take Charge!” said this in a conversation with Life.ru. Sergey Birzhevoy.
According to Birzhevoy, with such use, the device’s battery will always be charged. The specialist also warned against completely discharging the battery – this could damage the battery. The expert named heat as one of the main reasons for PC failure, and therefore he advised not to block the ventilation holes when working with the gadget on your lap.
Sergey Birzhevoy recommended that computer owners not put their devices into sleep mode if they leave the device idle for a long time. “Such “sleeping activity” is reflected in the service life of the battery and SSD hard drive used in new models,” the specialist noted.
Birzhevoy also advised not to place drinks near the computer, not to hold the laptop by the screen, not to place it next to electrical appliances, and not to slam the lid.
Earlier, XDA journalists listed components and parts that can harm a modern computer. These experts included excessively powerful power supplies, massive liquid cooling systems, and backlit wires.
