Microsoft announced three new Xbox Series gaming consoles
Microsoft has announced three new Xbox Series consoles. The corresponding video was published on the company’s YouTube channel.
Microsoft has updated its line of Xbox Series consoles, the first consoles of which were released in November 2020. The main release was the updated Xbox Series X console, which differs from the original version by having an expanded storage capacity of up to 2 terabytes and a unique color.
The Xbox Series X Digital Edition was also presented. It has a storage capacity of 1 terabyte, but does not have a disk drive – unlike the flagship of the series. The third console was the Xbox Series S, an updated version of the most affordable Xbox model. If the classic Series S had a 512 gigabyte drive, then the new version received 1 terabyte of permanent memory.
Xbox Series X with 2 terabytes of memory is priced at $599, Series X Digital Edition will be sold for $449. The younger Xbox Series S will cost $349. All three models will be available for purchase by gamers before the end of the year.
At the end of May, Sony Corporation, Microsoft’s main competitor in the console market, announced that PlayStation 5 had become the brand’s most profitable console. PS5 brought the company $106 billion in four years.
