Counterpoint Research: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the best-selling AI smartphone
Counterpoint Research has listed the best-selling smartphones with artificial intelligence (AI) features in the first quarter of 2024. The report is available on the agency’s website.
The leader in the segment was Samsung, whose smartphones took the top 3 ratings. The most popular phone was the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which received a share of 30.1 percent. Below are the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ – 16.8 and 11.5 percent, respectively.
Below are Xiaomi 14, Vivo X 100, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Oppo Find X7, OnePlus 12, Honor Magic 6 and Google Pixel 8 Pro. Analysts noted that in the first quarter of the year, 6 percent of smartphones had AI support. Among premium gadgets—devices costing more than $600, or 54 thousand rubles—the share of devices with artificial intelligence functions exceeded 70 percent.
Counterpoint Research analysts emphasized that in just the first quarter, the number of smartphone models with AI support increased from 16 to more than 30 pieces. According to experts, in 2024 the share of smartphones with AI will grow to 11 percent.
