Apple was suspected of lack of ideas

Insider: Apple has run out of ideas, so it continues to exploit the iPhone

Apple urgently needs to come up with and launch its next big product. Famous IT journalist Paris Marks stated this in his column for Insider.

Marks said that the company lacks initiatives and high-profile releases, as during the time of previous leader Steve Jobs. He noted that the Vision Pro headset failed and the Apple Car project was scrapped. The journalist suspected that the corporation had run out of ideas, as it continued to exploit its past products.

In his material, the specialist emphasized that the corporation’s main product remains the iPhone, which was introduced under Jobs. Paris Marks called the smartphone a “cash cow” that continues to bring profit to Apple. “Tim Cook’s strategy of focusing on short-term profits rather than long-term strategy casts a shadow over Apple’s future,” the author noted.

At the same time, Marks recognized Cook’s genius as a manager who established sales of gadgets and earned a lot of money for the company. However, the journalist recalled that iPhone sales are falling, and fundamentally new products have not been released for a long time. Also, Apple’s monopoly in European markets is at risk of being broken. In conclusion, Paris Marks said that he hopes to bring new ideas to the corporation.

Earlier, Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman revealed candidates for the post of new head of Apple Corporation. Gurman named Jeff Williams, who is the company’s chief operating officer, as the most likely option.
