Stocklytics: Smartphones will be the main sources of radiation for humans
Experts from Stocklytics said that smartphones will be more harmful to health in the future. This was reported in a report on the company’s website.
According to the forecast of the study’s authors, radioactive radiation from smartphones will invariably increase with the development of technology – they will turn out to be the main sources of radiation for humans. Experts have noticed that when operating on 2G, 3G and 4G frequencies, devices occupy approximately 0.7–2.7 gigahertz. With the advent of 5G, smartphones have occupied a wider spectrum – up to 80 gigahertz. “The significant increase in frequency raises concerns about the possibility of even higher radiation levels,” the report said.
The material also lists phones that are distinguished by their level of radioactive radiation or specific absorption rate (SAR), which determines the rate at which the body absorbs radiofrequency energy. The leader of the rating was Xiaomi Mi A1, which received an SAR of 1.75 watts per kilogram.
“Smartphone manufacturers must improve device design to reduce the risks associated with excessive radiation exposure,” said Stocklytics analyst Edith Reeds.
At the end of October, French authorities allowed Apple to resume sales of the iPhone 12 throughout the country. Previously, sales of smartphones were prohibited due to increased electromagnetic radiation.
