GizmoChina: Xiaomi announced the release of the Black Shark smart ring
The Chinese company Xiaomi announced the release of its first smart ring. This was reported by GizmoChina.
A teaser of the device was shown on the brand’s social networks. The Black Shark ring is made of metal, has a profile thickness of 2.2 millimeters, which “ensures convenience and comfort during use.” The gadget can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, heart rate variability and body temperature.
The company noted that the ring can work on one charge for up to 180 days. The device has a charging case. Xiaomi representatives promised to reveal other characteristics, price and release date of the ring later.
GizmoChina journalists said that the time will soon come when smart rings will no longer be niche devices. “We are officially entering an era when smart rings can become mainstream,” the authors noted.
At the end of February, the South Korean corporation Samsung presented the Galaxy Ring smart ring at the MWC 2024 exhibition. The device allows you to record the distance traveled, pulse, breathing rate, and sleep quality. The release date and cost of the smart ring are not disclosed.
