A new mod for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt joins forces with Opera

Opera has prepared a Cyberpunk 2077 GX mod for its browser for gamers. It goes beyond the usual theme. The mod introduces much more changes than just appearance.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been over three years since the last CD Projekt Red production debuted. Despite the initial problems, the game was finally properly optimized and still pleases players today. e. CD Projekt can be satisfied because the development of the franchise is planned for the coming years, so if Cyberpunk 2077 did not finally convince players, the studio would have serious problems. This task was successfully completed, and CD Projekt continues to advertise and monetize the production. The latest example of this is the Opera GX mod.

Opera GX is a browser created especially for gamers. From Wednesday, April 10, it gained a mod that makes the program look like something out of Night City.

Available for free to all Opera GX users, the Cyberpunk 2077 mod will replace the standard browser appearance with a multifunctional customization package, which includes:

  • Animated wallpaper of V in Night City against the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech background, changing over time throughout the day and night. Individual elements can be modified, such as the colors of steam, light or reflective effects.
  • Specially dedicated themes that can synchronize with RGB lighting on Logitech, Razer, Asus or Corsair devices.
  • Background music, special browser sounds and keyboard sounds straight from Cyberpunk 2077.
  • Shader, thanks to which we can experience mild symptoms of Cyberpsychosis while browsing.

What’s next for Cyberpunk 2077? The work should have already started

Last September, the first major expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 – “The Phantom of Freedom” – debuted. The first and also the last, because CD Projekt announced that the game would not receive any more DLC (although initially, the same number of add-ons were planned as for The Witcher 3, i.e. two). This doesn’t mean the franchise will be abandoned, however. The new CD Projekt North America studio will be responsible for it.
