Android Police: Fairphone has released headphones with replaceable batteries
Fairphone has released headphones with a removable battery. This was reported by Android Police with reference to the company’s materials.
The presented Fairbuds headset does not have a built-in battery like other headphones. The device has compact, replaceable batteries that can be replaced if necessary. Media journalists called the device the first battery-powered headphones.
On one charge, the headphones work for about 6 hours – then they need to be placed in the case. The headset also received 11 mm titanium drivers, six microphones, an active noise reduction system, the function of simultaneous connection to multiple sources, and support for Bluetooth 5.3.
According to engineers, Fairbuds are more environmentally friendly than other headphones. When the batteries fail, the user will need to buy new ones rather than replacing the entire headset. The cost of Fairbuds was 149 euros, or about 15 thousand rubles. Fairphone is also known for releasing a smartphone of the same name with a modular system for simplified repairs.
Earlier, journalists from the Korea Times reported that Samsung Corporation had regained its status as the leading smartphone manufacturer in the world. In February, Samsung’s share of the smartphone market reached 20 percent, while Apple’s share dropped to 18 percent.
