Failure of the government website for entrepreneurs. “Paralyzes fuel supplies”

Failure of the Tax and Customs Electronic Services Platform (PUESC). The system that enables, among others, fuel transport registrations.

“A system failure has occurred. We are taking all necessary steps to resolve the issue and restore full functionality as quickly as possible” – . The Tax and Customs Electronic Services Platform (PUESC) is used primarily by entrepreneurs who trade goods abroad. It enables, among others: shortening the border clearance process thanks to, among others, electronic arrival notification and automation.

PUESC failure. The website is not working

After entering the website, a message published in two languages is displayed, informing about the failure. “If you want to use the Tax and Customs Electronic Services Platform (PUESC) and chose the website puesc.gov.pl and ended up on this website, it means that the system is currently unavailable and maintenance work is in progress,” we read.

The authors of the website further advise that due to the unavailability of PUESC, emergency procedures provided for systems/services using this portal should be used. “During this time, the AIS/IMPORT, AIS/ICS, AIS/e-COMMRECE, AES/ECS2, AES/STATUS, NCTS2, OSOZ2 and EMCS PL2 systems may use the alternative AES/BCP COMMUNICATION component,” they indicate.

In turn, the Ministry of Finance said that “messages of documents related to services provided by PUESC will be available after the system operation is stabilized. This applies to documents that are processed during a failure.”

A disastrous failure for entrepreneurs. “Paralysis”

describes that one of the victims of the system failure reported that currently “fuel and LPG deliveries cannot be carried out without SENT notification”, which, according to him, “paralyzes the work of all companies that supply fuel to stations throughout Poland.” This is the Electronic Transport Supervision System (SENT). It allows you to register and monitor the transport of the so-called sensitive goods such as motor fuels, biodiesel, lubricating oils, thinners, contaminated alcohols, vegetable oils, solvents and dried tobacco.

PUESC (when it works) offers its users many more possibilities. The platform provides, among others: electronic support for the processes of purchasing and settling excise stamps (banderol), confirmation of fulfillment of the excise tax obligation when registering a passenger car, and automation of data exchange between KAS customers and partners and KAS authorities as part of customer service processes.
