Users of Samsung flagships complained of a burning smell

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra spoke about the burning smell when using the phone

Owners of current flagship Samsung smartphones have complained about the burning smell that occurs when using their phones. This was reported by SamMobile.

A post on Reddit states that the pungent odor is noticeable when you remove the stylus from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s slot. “Either I have a sensitive nose, or this thing is being fried from the inside,” the author under the nickname LatifYil said about the problem.

Commentators on site confirmed that the smell of burnt plastic was indeed noticeable. “Made me smell my stylus. I can confirm that there is a smell,” said a user under the nickname bobissonbobby. “I was convinced that you were crazy, and then I smelled my smartphone,” noted a user under the nickname theschwiftmachine.

According to some users, the burning smell may occur due to the fact that the stylus is made of plastic. When the accessory is not in use, it is in contact with a heated smartphone. Samsung support noted that the faint smell of burnt plastic is not a cause for concern.

At the end of March, Reddit users complained about a manufacturing defect in the Galaxy Z Fold 4 folding smartphone, which Samsung refused to acknowledge. According to them, if dirt gets into the hinge, the device stops unfolding.
