Windows 11 was made available to users of the previous version of the OS as a free update. Will it be similar in the case of Windows 12? There may be some doubts about this. It has been said unofficially for some time that Microsoft may completely change its policy of releasing new versions of its operating system and offer it as a service, the use of which will require a subscription fee. found traces in the configuration file of an experimental version of Windows that may suggest such an approach.

It is therefore possible that Microsoft is making some preparations to make the new Windows available for subscription.

Of course, this does not mean that such an idea for “Windows on subscription” will definitely come to fruition. It is also possible that Microsoft will offer a subscription only to a selected group of recipients or as an alternative to purchasing the system in a box version.
