SamMobile: Samsung announced the Galaxy A55 smartphone with 12 gigabytes of memory
Samsung Corporation has announced a new smartphone Galaxy A55. This was reported by SamMobile.
Media journalists noticed that the device turned out to be the first sub-flagship of the brand to receive 12 gigabytes of RAM. This is a record for Samsung devices, since previously only flagship devices received this amount of memory.
The device came with an Exynos 1480 processor, at least 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory. The smartphone has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with support for 120 Hz frequency and Always-on display function. On the rear panel of the gadget there is a triple camera with lenses with a resolution of 50, 12 and 5 megapixels. It can shoot video in 4K at 30 frames per second.
The Galaxy A55 also has a 5,000 milliamp-hour battery with support for 25-watt fast charging. The phone has a fingerprint sensor built under the screen, a 32-megapixel front camera, Android 14 with One UI 6.1 shell. Samsung has promised four years of Android update support. The cost of the basic version of the Galaxy A55 is 479 euros, or about 48 thousand rubles.
In early March, a Russian blogger published a review of the Samsung Galaxy A55 before the phone was announced. It is unknown how the blogger got the release sample of the Galaxy A55 before it entered the market.
