Apple announced MacBook Air laptops on the M3 chip for 13 and 15 inches
Apple has announced a new generation of MacBook Air laptops. This was reported in a press release published on the company’s website.
Apple said that the presented models are based on the M3 processor, which is 60 percent more powerful than the M1 chip. The company also noted that the MacBook Air on the M3 is 13 times faster than any Intel PC. The devices received an additional Neural Engine processor for artificial intelligence (AI) tasks.
The line includes two models – MacBook Air with a 13- and 15-inch screen. The devices are equipped with a Liquid Retina screen, support connection to two external monitors, have up to 18 hours of battery life, support for Wi-Fi 6E, MagSafe magnetic charging, and two Thunderbolt ports.
The cost of a 13-inch MacBook Air is $1,099, or about 100 thousand rubles. The 15-inch version will cost $1,299, or about 119 thousand rubles. 2022 models with the M2 chip are also available for sale.
Earlier, Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman named the reasons for the cancellation of the project to produce an Apple car. According to him, the company’s attempts to create an unmanned vehicle were too ambitious.
