A few weeks ago, a new version of the Moja Biedronka application debuted in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. As the Portuguese discount chain assured, the new app offers all the functions of its predecessor. There is Shakeomat, offers, leaflets, a price scanner, transaction history, and a list of stores in the area where we are currently visiting. There will also be new functionalities, such as the Shopping List.
Biedronka’s new app has received mixed reviews from the very beginning. Some praised the refreshed layout and new functions, but some users criticized problems with stability and logging in. It turns out that they have not yet been completely eliminated.
My Biedronka application crashed? Login problems
On Wednesday morning, there were problems with logging in to the Moja Biedronka application. Biedronka’s Facebook profile and the opinions section in Google and Apple stores have been flooded with comments from irritated users who cannot use the application.
We can confirm that this issue does indeed occur. We tried logging into the app several times. Unfortunately, to no avail. After entering the phone number in the login panel (the layout of which is quite scattered), nothing happens. Deleting and reinstalling the application does not solve the problem.
My Biedronka doesn’t work photo: DM
I just updated the Biedronka application to 2.2.2 2419 and it doesn’t work. After entering the app, there is nothing. And it worked before. Well done, you guys
– writes one of the users.
Your app is broken again. It asks you to verify your phone again, but the website won’t load anything. I give the number and silence. Maybe you can fix it?
– adds another.
The network responds to most of these comments with a short message:
Repair work for the application is in progress. Sorry for the inconvenience.
– informs Biedronka’s official Facebook profile.
Some users even jokingly comment that Biedronka’s biggest competitor on the Polish market, the Lidl discount chain, may be involved in the whole matter.
Is Lidl hacking your applications, some problems again
– writes one of the users.
Hackers from Lidl took over the Biedronka application
– jokes another.
Biedronka and Lidl in a price war. The bailiff stepped in
Of course, such comments are related to the “price war” that the two largest discount chains in Poland have been conducting for several weeks. It started with an auction for a number of products at reduced prices. At the beginning of the year, Biedronka reduced the prices of 60 products, to which Lidl responded by reducing 300 products. Biedronka beat this by lowering the prices of 360 products. It also added a marketing campaign, convincing that Biedronka is cheaper than Lidl. It started with text messages, and then banners appeared.
This week the discount war reached its peak. As reported by the Commercial News portal, the court bailiff began to seize Biedronka advertising posters, which include, among others: slogan: “Since 2002, Biedronka Everyday low prices, cheaper than Lidl.” A few days ago, the latter network submitted a request to the court for injunctive relief before initiating proceedings, and the court agreed.
The German brand now has two weeks to initiate a lawsuit in this case. An injunction is not a court judgment. Only during the hearing will Lidl have to prove why it does not agree with the slogan of the discount chain owned by Jeronimo Martins.
We asked the Biedronka chain to comment on problems with the operation of the Moja Biedronka application. As soon as we receive a response, the above text will be updated.
