Netflix with ads in Poland? It has some limitations. Not all titles will be available

In 2022, Netflix introduced a new package in some markets, which offered a much lower price. It resulted from the fact that ads were displayed to users. However, this is not the only limitation this subscription plan offers.

Streaming services are still very popular. Netflix definitely dominates our market and attracts the most subscribers, reports . However, Polish users are still waiting for a solution that the company has already introduced in other countries, i.e. an advertising package.

Netflix. The ad-supported package will replace the cheapest ad-free package

Two years ago, Netflix introduced a new, cheaper ad-supported plan. At the moment, it applies, among others, to: in the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Brazil. In August 2023, the number of subscribers to this package exceeded 15 million (out of 247.15 million total users).

When will the advertising package be available in Poland? In January 2023, they announced that, according to their findings, this would take place at the end of last year or as late as 2024. So far, however, Netflix has not announced whether this option will be introduced in our country in the near future.

Due to the great interest in this package, Netflix has decided to gradually replace the Basic only option. This is the cheapest ad-free plan currently. The website has already decided to make such a move in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. At the moment, this only applies to new customers, he writes.

The cheapest Netflix package is not only about ads. Not all titles are available

Although it can be seen that the advertising package is popular, users point out one drawback – the lack of access to the entire website library. US subscribers who opted for this cheaper plan cannot watch several popular titles, such as: “The Walking Dead”, “Peaky Blinders” and “House of Cards”. “While the vast majority of TV shows and movies are available on an ad-supported plan, a small number are not available due to licensing restrictions,” Netflix explains on its website.
