CR: iPhone 14 became the best-selling smartphone in the world in 2023
Counterpoint Research (CR) analysts named the best-selling smartphones in 2023. This was reported in the company’s report.
From the company’s materials it follows that the American Apple dominated the market. The most popular gadget was called the iPhone 14, an inexpensive device released in 2022. Its share was 3.9 percent. The top three also included the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro.
Apple devices took all the first seven places in the ranking – below are the iPhone 13, iPhone 15 3Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15. Positions from eighth to tenth were occupied by Samsung devices – Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A04e and Galaxy A14 4G. Counterpoint Research analysts said that starting from 2021, only Apple and Samsung devices are in the top 10 in smartphone sales.
The report also noted that the combined market share of the top 10 smartphones reached its highest ever level of 20 percent. In 2022 it was 19 percent.
Earlier, Canalys experts said that the American company Apple ended 2023 in a leading position in the European smartphone market. Samsung and Xiaomi took the second and third positions, respectively.
