Putin reacts to reports from the USA. “I strongly oppose”

During a meeting in the Kremlin with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Vladimir Putin raised the issue of recent reports from the United States. According to the Russian website, the Russian president was to be firmly against the deployment of nuclear weapons in outer space.

“We have always been categorically against the deployment of nuclear weapons in outer space and we still are,” Putin said. – On the contrary, we insist not only on respecting all existing agreements in this field, but also propose to significantly strengthen this joint work, he added.

However, Sergei Shoigu stated that Russia does not have such weapons. – First of all, there are no such things (nuclear weapons in space – ed.). Secondly, they know that we don’t have it and yet they make noise, said the head of the Russian Ministry of National Defense.

Kremlin spokesman reacts to information about the nuclear anti-satellite system

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov spoke on this matter. Initially, he said he would not comment until the White House revealed the details. Later, a Kremlin spokesman said it was an attempt to persuade Congress to approve more aid for Ukraine, which had been blocked in the Senate by Republicans. “We’ll see what tricks the White House will use,” he said. Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the information was a “malicious invention” of the United States, the TASS news agency reported.
