Android Central: Deutsche Telekom announced an AI smartphone without applications

The German company Deutsche Telekom announced the release of the first smartphone with artificial intelligence (AI) functions. Android Central reports this.

Deutsche Telekom Corporation presented the concept of an AI phone at the Mobile World Congress 2024 exhibition, which will be held at the end of February. The device was created jointly with Qualcomm and Brain.ai. The device will be completely based on artificial intelligence and will not have any applications.

The announced device, called T Phone, will process user requests through a cloud service and an AI model. The device can be controlled via a touch display or voice. Including AI will allow you to edit photos and process videos. The characteristics of the gadget are not disclosed, but the smartphone will receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

“Artificial intelligence and AI models (LLM) will soon become an integral part of mobile devices,” said John Abrahamson, chief product and digital officer at Deutsche Telekom. According to him, the new device will be positioned as a digital concierge.

Earlier it became known that the American company OpenAI will develop a search system. The company’s partner will be Microsoft Corporation.
