The Elec: the new generation iPhone SE will be released in early 2025

Apple has scheduled the release of the fourth generation iPhone SE for early 2025. This was reported by the Korean publication The Elec.

Media sources have learned that Apple has negotiated the supply of displays for the SE with suppliers. Representatives of the IT giant contacted Samsung Display and BOE, as well as the little-known front panel manufacturer Tianma.

It is clarified that the cost of the components satisfied Apple and the company planned the release date of the device for the first half of 2025. Sources do not disclose what matrix the display will receive – IPS or OLED.

According to journalists from Appleinsider, the new iPhone may have an OLED display. Also, most likely, the device will have the design of an iPhone 13 or iPhone 14. In this regard, Apple will be able to save money by using the casings of decommissioned or recycled devices to assemble new smartphones.

Also, if the SE announcement takes place in early 2025, the company could present it in March or April. The third generation SE was released in March 2022, the second in April 2020, and the first in March 2016.

In early February, well-known insider Majinu Boo said that the new iPhone SE series smartphone will have the design of the future iPhone 16. The device will also receive Dynamic Island.
