A new cyber threat. Be careful what you install on your phone

According to cybersecurity experts from Group-IB, the new threat is probably spread by the Chinese group GoldFactory. It has other similar programs at its end such as: GoldDigger, GoldDiggerPlus and GoldKefu. This software primarily targeted owners of Android smartphones. However, Apple users should also be afraid of the latest “product”.

“Using messages sent via popular messengers, fraudsters try to persuade the victim to install a malicious application. How does GoldPickaxe work? Once installed, the malware runs in the background.
