From January, the childcare benefit increased from PLN 500 to PLN 800. People who have already used it do not have to submit any documents or complete data, ZUS itself increases the amount of the benefit. However, not everyone knows about it, and fraudsters are now trying to take advantage of it and extort data from ZUS customers.
Fraudsters send e-mails to ZUS clients. They encourage you to provide data
“ZUS customers’ e-mails receive messages about the need to supplement and/or correct data regarding the 800 plus benefit, because without it the amount of the benefit will not be increased from PLN 500 to PLN 800. The e-mail contains a link to which you must click to correct the data.” – he reported on February 15. It was assured that “these messages are not sent by ZUS and they are false.”
The company reminded that it increases the amount of the benefit paid on its own, without submitting additional applications. “Customers are not asked to take any action in this regard. If it is necessary to carry out an investigation regarding 800 plus, ZUS only sends e-mails and text messages with information about the notice placed on the PUE ZUS portal. These messages do not contain any links that should be clicked,” we read in the message.
How to change data in the 800 plus application? There are several possibilities
ZUS informs that if it is necessary to change the data in the application for the 800 plus benefit, such as changing the bank account, an appropriate application must be submitted. This can be done electronically via the PUE ZUS portal, mZUS mobile application, Emp@tia portal and electronic banking.
