Apple’s Vision Pro glasses fail

Most apps for Apple Vision Pro have been downloaded less than 1000 times

Experts from the metaverse research portal Immersive Wire have assessed the popularity of Apple Vision Pro glasses. This is reported on the project website.

According to the authors, during the time that has passed since the augmented reality headset went on sale for Vision Pro, about 600 applications have been released. Most of them were downloaded no more than 1000 times, which is very little. The study says that for developers, 1,000 downloads is considered a kind of ceiling – this means that no one is interested in their product.

For example, the Hold On app, which adds spherical timers, was downloaded only six times. Another program, JigSpace, on the contrary, received 14 thousand downloads, the reason for this success was called its appearance in Apple advertising materials. The authors of Immersive Wire noted that a week after the release of the augmented reality helmet, we can talk about its failure, although the gadget still has prospects for development.

In conclusion, experts said that the app store for Vision Pro needs improvement. The authors believe that Apple needs to create conditions for the emergence of niche programs.

Earlier, Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman said that augmented reality devices will replace the iPad and other devices in the future. However, he noted that Apple Vision Pro augmented reality glasses turned out to be controversial.
