Elon Musk said that there is no way that Vladimir Putin would lose the war in Ukraine. During a discussion with Republican senators on the X platform, the billionaire criticized Congress’ consent to the support package for Ukraine.

The US Senate passed a bill under which the United States would provide $95 billion in aid to the governments of Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. This decision did not receive a positive response from most Republicans. It is not known what the future of the project will be. From the Senate it will go to the House of Representatives, which is dominated by representatives of the Republican party.

– There is no chance that Putin will lose the war in Ukraine – said Elon Musk. The billionaire took part in the discussion, which was also attended by Republican senators, including Ron Johnson and Mike Lee. Musk’s comment referred to Johnson’s words, who said that people who expect Ukraine to win “are living in a fantasy world.”

– I hope that Americans will contact their representatives in Congress about a new aid package for Ukraine – added Musk. – These expenses do not help Ukraine. Prolonging the war does not help Ukraine, the billionaire said. Later in his statement, he emphasized that there was pressure on Putin to continue the fight. – If he had withdrawn, he would have been murdered, Musk explained.

During the discussion with senators, Elon Musk admitted that he is sometimes accused of being Putin’s defender. He described these allegations as “absurd”. He noted that his companies “probably did more to weaken Russia than anything else.” He used SpaceX as an example, which is supposed to take away customers from the Russian space business. Moreover, the company provides Starlink internet connectivity service in Ukraine. The billionaire emphasized that this connection was crucial for communication after the Russian invasion. Even though Musk stressed that he wanted to stop the deaths of people on both sides of the conflict, he doubted the point of trying to overthrow Putin.
