Poczta Polska will examine your pockets and suitcases. A large airport has settled the tender

Employee qualifications and employment standards were to determine that Poczta Polska employees would take care of the security of the Poznań airport. Postmen will check luggage and passengers who want to fly from the capital of Greater Poland.

Centrum Poczta Polska Ochrona (CPPO) won the tender for the protection of the Poznań-Ławica Airport. Henryk Wieniawski. This is one of the largest contracts in the history of Poczta Polska – reads the state postal operator.

Poznań airport will be served by Poczta Polska. They will check passengers and luggage

As part of the tender, the unit, which is part of Poczta Polska, will handle security checks for travelers. Employees of the Polish operator will conduct security checks on people wishing to depart from the Poznań airport, check in and x-ray their luggage, and check cargo transport. The idea is – as the post office explains – “to prevent air transport of people, objects, devices and materials that threaten property and life or enable the commission of an act of terrorism.”

Poczta Polska emphasizes that airport security, apart from cash processing and cash logistics, is one of the basic branches of CPPO’s activities. He also adds that the Poznań airport’s victory in the tender was determined by “employee qualifications on the one hand, and employment standards on the other.” Postal workers explain that the company’s employees dedicated to airport service have Security Control Operator qualifications granted by the decision of the President of the Civil Aviation Office (two-week training and passing an exam are required) and undergo training in recognizing dangerous materials and items whose transport is prohibited.

“Continuity of operations, the strength of our employees and our potential have been demonstrated to the entire financial market. Thanks to the actions undertaken then, we have gained the opportunity to present a wide range of skills to potential clients,” said Wiesław Włodek, vice-president of Poczta Polska, quoted in the operator’s announcement.

Poznań-Ławica Airport handles approximately 2.78 million passengers each year. The Poczta Polska Ochrona Center employs 3,150 employees, has 36 Cash Service Centers, and has a fleet of over 400 specialized vehicles. The same unit also conducts training in the field of Civil Aviation Security.
