Some spasms (cramps) in his right arm made him alert. They occurred so frequently that they prevented him from driving his vehicle. When they went to the doctor, everyone got a big surprise: he had a bullet in his head.
Four days earlier, in the middle of celebrating the arrival of the year 2024, the 21-year-old felt something hit him in the head. Blood flowed from the wound, but he was not worried. On the contrary, the party continued.
“The bleeding stopped, we left, I showered and went out to party,” he explained. Mateus Facio to the Brazilian TV program ‘Jornal Nacional’ and reviewed Antena 3.
The media reported that “the young man spent the next four days partying and ignoring the blow he received.” Mateus remembered being in Rio de Janeiro. There he was hit by the bullet. He later found out it was a gunshot.
He also said that when he traveled in his vehicle, a journey that typically takes four and a half hours due to spasms, it took seven hours to reach his destination.

Miracles do exist: This was the shocking rescue of a man who fell into a river with his truck on Christmas Eve and was stuck there for six days
Part of the bullet entered the brain, the doctor said
The young man felt no other symptoms. The bleeding did not return either. A CT scan revealed the presence of the bullet and he underwent surgery. According to the aforementioned Spanish media, Mateus Facio spent two days in the ICU.
“Part of the bullet penetrated his brain, causing compression in that area and causing involuntary movements of his arm,” neurosurgeon Flavio Falcometa explained.
He was lucky… in the doctor’s estimation, “if the bullet had been a few millimeters away from where it hit, it could have caused much more serious damage and left one arm or one side of the body paralyzed. “
Mateus’ case has gone viral in recent hours. It’s actually unusual. According to Clarín, the young man’s mother said, “I feel like my son has been born again.” The neurosurgeon estimates that the postoperative period without incident will depend on whether he will “continue his normal life” in a month.
