Biedronka’s mobile application has been extremely popular for years. Suffice it to say that – as the network itself claims – it has as many as 10.5 million users. However, people who want to continue using its functionality must prepare for changes. Jeronimo Martins Polska announced that the old version of the application will no longer work on January 29.

According to the discount chain, the new version of the app offers all the functions of its predecessor. There is Shakeomat, offers, leaflets, a price scanner, transaction history, and a list of stores in the area where we are currently visiting. However, there will also be new functionalities, such as the Shopping List.

Thanks to the Shopping List function, you will no longer have to write down the necessary products on a piece of paper or use other tools. Now customers can make a list directly in the Biedronka application. Another important novelty is the use of a dark mode, which will increase the comfort of using the application if a given user prefers this screen setting. The new version of the application is also available for all Huawei devices – not only those with a built-in Android system.

Additionally, the new version of the application will load faster than its predecessor. It is also supposed to work more stably, which was not the case with its predecessor. Obviously, the application interface has also changed. It is more minimalist and modern.

The new version of the Biedronka application receives quite mixed reviews. There is no shortage of users who praise the improved features. However, there is also a lot of criticism. The average app rating in the AppStore is currently 1.4 out of 5, and in the Google Play Store – 1.9 out of 5 (although it is worth noting that many of these reviews also apply to the older version). Many users note problems with logging in.

What does the network itself say about this? “We apologize for this inconvenience. We are working on solving this problem. If additional inconvenience occurs, please contact Customer Service” – the application creators respond to subsequent critical comments. However, there are also more positive voices.
