SamMobile: Samsung Galaxy Ring will be “ridiculously” light
The new smart ring from Samsung can be worn on your finger throughout the day. This was reported by SamMobile.
Industry analyst Avi Greengart said in his Threads that he took a closer look at Samsung’s smart ring prototype. According to him, the Galaxy Ring is extremely lightweight so that the user can wear it all day and not take it off while sleeping. Greengart called the device “ridiculously” lightweight.
It also turned out that the ring will come in several sizes. From the disclosed data it follows that the device will be released in three sizes, including the 13th. Apparently, the analyst is referring to the American mesh, where size 13 rings have an internal diameter of 0.874 inches or 22.20 mm.
According to the specialist, the ring can be used to track indicators of health, well-being and sleep. In many ways, it will resemble other smart rings on the market, such as Oura. The release date and cost of the smart accessory have not been disclosed, but Greengart assures that the Galaxy Ring will go on sale “later this year.”
Samsung Corporation announced the development of a smart ring at the end of January. According to company representatives, the device will take the capabilities of the Samsung Health platform “to a new level.”
