Specialist Shutov dispelled the myth about the danger of “non-native” charging for a smartphone
Vasily Shutov, a teacher at the department KB-1 “Information Security” of RTU MIREA, in a conversation with the Prime agency, said that using a “non-native” charger will not bring any harm to the smartphone.
The problem of choosing a power supply arose after smartphone manufacturers stopped putting a charger in the factory box. Gadget owners began to take advantage of cheaper taxes.
According to Shutov, “non-native” charging will not cause any harm to the device. “The phone will not “recharge” when choosing a more powerful charger. The smartphone simply will not be able to take more than what the manufacturer has provided,” he clarified.
The exception is the use of inexpensive power supplies and those that do not have certificates of conformity, the specialist emphasized.
Earlier, IT expert Alexey Uchakin named the rules for safe charging of smartphones. The expert noted that many people do not know that charging a gadget in a car can negatively affect the battery.
