The TVP Info website stopped broadcasting on December 20, after changes to public television began. The public television news channel itself was also unavailable to viewers. The return to broadcasting took place at the end of last year, on December 29, and the Internet service returned only on Monday, January 15.
TVP Info portal: Impartiality, balance and independence
“Dear Readers of the tvp.info portal – we are back. We are live for you again – with information from the country and the world, reports, videos, cultural events and scientific curiosities. We have an obligation to inform you about important and interesting events, and at the same time keep impartiality, balance and independence, high quality and integrity of the message'” – . The portal will be managed by Andrzej Jaszczyszyn, formerly associated with the ZPR Media Group – . Jaszczyszyn wrote about himself on a PR industry website that he is a “manager, coach, trainer and radio presenter.”

“We will provide you with information that will be important for ‘the entire society and its individual parts’, to which we are obliged by law. For us, the public mission is to be useful to everyone who visits the tvp.info portal. We are interested in what Poland does and what is happening in the world,” add tvp.info journalists.
TVP Info is back on YouTube
The public television channel also returned on YouTube. As virtualmedia.pl emphasizes, not all content from the archive will be available – for example, we will no longer see the program “Jak oni łamiam”, which was aimed at the competing station TVN24. Last week, Samuel Pereira, former head of TAI and manager of TVP Info, wrote on the X platform that “the new authorities closed TVP Info on YouTube today.” As he pointed out, the TVP Info account had several hundred thousand subscriptions.
New TVP authorities
On the night of December 19-20 last year, the Sejm voted on a draft resolution “on the restoration of legal order and the impartiality and reliability of the public media and the Polish Press Agency”. The next day, Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz appointed new authorities of the public media, and after the holidays he decided to put TVP into liquidation. The new TVP authorities took over control of the public broadcaster’s television antennas and websites.
