A military officer serving in the army in Venezuela has been arrested and faces charges for the murder of a 16-year-old teenager. The crime took place on January 1, 2024 in a military casino in Trujillo, an Andean state.

On the first day of 2024, the minor and the soldier’s partner had an intimate moment in the casino and were surprised by Cardozo Hernández, the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.

When the soldier saw the scene, “he began beating the teen until he was unconscious and then choked him.” He eventually impaled him on a pole and threw the victim’s body into the casino pool.
