Share location on iPhone

Cell phones and mobile devices running the iOS operating system can permanently share their location with other contacts running iOS.

From the Find My application, which is installed on all Apple devices, you can add a contact to whom you want to send your location. That person can also send it to you.

You just have to open the application, press People and then press the ‘+’ button to select the contact. They can access your location even when you are offline or your device is turned off.

Share location with Airtags

To double security in case we lose our mobile phone, we can use Airtags devices. Developed by Apple, they are used to secure personal items and prevent them from being lost.

In the same way, we can attach the Airtag to the car or give it to a member of our family so that we know where they are at any time.

Location sharing on Android

Android devices with Google access come with the Google Maps application, which allows permanent location sharing.

To activate it, you must open the application and click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner. There you will find a section for sharing.

You can select how long you want to share your location, or if you prefer, activate the option to make it permanent. You must also select the contact you want to share the information with.

You can send the link via any messaging application or email, and your location can be seen by anyone using Google Maps.

Share location on Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger only allows real-time location sharing for 60 minutes, but it’s an effective solution if you have no other choice.

To do this, you must have the application installed on your mobile device. In the chat of the contact you want to send the location to, press Options, then Location.
