There is really nothing to look for on the TVP Info channel – now that it is unavailable.
Anna-Maria Żukowska, an MP from the New Left, reacted to the information about the closure and wrote on the X platform: “And now: Who rules YouTube: Jews, Communists or Freemasons?”
“Just don’t pretend to be democrats,” Pereira replied to the MP.
What about TVP Info’s social media accounts? It won’t be easy
that TVP Info profiles on the X website (former Twitter) and YouTube are still under the control of former employees of the public broadcaster and that recovering them will not be easy. As he found out, the problem with regaining access to the accounts results from the fact that they were created and maintained using employees’ private e-mail boxes. – As a model, accounts on social networking sites should be created on boxes controlled by the IT department. In such a situation, when an employee leaves, the email administrator can reset the password and regain access to social media – explained Piotr Mieczkowski, president of the Digital Poland foundation, in an interview with “DGP”. According to unofficial information, the TVP Info profile on the X portal is still managed by Samuel Pereira.
New authorities at TVP versus Adamczyk and company
On the night of December 19-20 last year, the Sejm voted on a draft resolution “on the restoration of legal order and the impartiality and reliability of the public media and the Polish Press Agency”. The next day, Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz appointed new authorities of the public media, and after the holidays he decided to put TVP into liquidation. The new TVP authorities have already taken control of the public broadcaster’s television antennas and websites, but they have not managed to regain access to all TVP Info profiles on social media. As a result, when visiting the station’s account on the X portal, we are greeted with the message: “An attack on public media.”
