The Chinese corporation Lenovo has created the first laptop on the market that runs both Windows and Android. This was reported by XDA.
As it became known to insiders, the ThinkBook Plus computer will have a hybrid body and will be able to transform into a tablet. According to the creators of the device, the device will run on Windows in laptop mode, and on Android in tablet mode.
It is known that the gadget will have a detachable keyboard and a touch display that can be rotated 360 degrees. Detailed specifications of the device have not been revealed, but it is reported that the ThinkBook Plus will receive a high-speed Oculink port that will compete with Thunderbolt 3. For comparison, Oculink 2 can provide data transfer speeds of up to 16 gigabits per second, while Thunderbolt 3 can only provide five gigabits per second .
The cost of the ThinkBook Plus has not been disclosed. Most likely, Lenovo will announce the device at CES 2024 in January.
Previously, IDC analysts predicted an increase in the personal computer market in 2024 due to artificial intelligence (AI) and the needs of corporations. The PC market is currently in its eighth consecutive quarter of decline.
