A winter storm complicated this Monday Christmas mobility in several Midwestern states USAaffected by low temperatures, high winds and snow accumulation.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation advised citizens to avoid vehicles as “heavy snow accumulations and high winds are rapidly deteriorating road conditions.”
He National Meteological Service (NWS) forecast “heavy snowfall” and intense winds in parts of the Central Plains and Midwest of the country in a report.

The agency predicted large accumulations of snow over Christmas Day in Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota, and significant ice formations in Minnesota.
“While the white of Christmas can be exciting for those at home, heavy snow and wind reduce visibility and make roads dangerous,” explained the NWS, which also warned of possible power outages.
The winter storm will gradually weaken on Tuesday, but will still leave some snow in the region.
About 1,600 flights were delayed in the United States on Monday and another 140 were canceled, according to the Flight Aware portal.
However, the situation is very different from last Christmas, when winter storm Elliot left more than fifty dead in the country, half of them in New York state, in addition to thousands of canceled flights in the middle of the holidays. (You)
